“As a subject, I love math for its beautiful patterns and limitless questions. More than that though, I love math because of the people who I get to do it with. My hope is that my students discover their own kind of joys in learning math.”

Meg Foye joined Poly Prep as an Upper School math teacher in 2023. Born on the North Shore of Boston, Meg loved the humanities as a student, but realized an appreciation for math through her calculus class in high school. She graduated Amherst College with a B.A. in Mathematics and credits incredible teachers and professors who fostered a love for learning mathematics and working through challenges. Before coming to Poly, Meg worked as an Upper School Math Fellow at Greenwich Academy in Connecticut. There she taught Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre Calculus while she earned her M.S. in Education through the University of Pennsylvania’s Independent School Teaching Residency program. Her research as a Penn Fellow focused on the benefits of intellectual risk taking in a math classroom and fostering student mindsets that celebrate math as a process. Meg’s educational philosophy is rooted in a belief that mathematics has the power to leave its students and its teachers with important lessons about making mistakes and giving oneself grace. Meg enjoys listening to music, going for runs (that often turn to walks), and is a grilled cheese enthusiast.
